Past Projects
Today, Dover Environmental, LLC provides a full service approach to the industrial needs of companies in the automotive, iron & steel, metals, manufacturing, chemical and transportation industries, and hospital and medical community. Our experience covers primarily industrial and commercial properties.
Below is a partial listing of our past projects.
City of Detroit -
Department of Transportation
This project involved the removal of over 55 Underground and Above Ground Storage Tanks. After demolishing and dismantling the entire structures, crews from Dover Environmental completed the site work, which included removing over 12,500 tons of contaminated soil, installation of ground water collection wells, removing contaminated ground water, and demolition and removal of over 75,000 square feet of 8 inch reinforced concrete. Dover Environmental prepared the site to make way for the largest fuel farm in the Midwest, of which Dover Environmental designed and installed. This fueling facility is now being used as a basis of design at other facilities in the United States. Upon completion of the fueling facility, utilities, roads and parking lots were fully restored. The project is a testimony to the skill and versatility of Dover Environmental. |

City of Detroit -
Bus Terminal and Maintenance Facility
Dover Environmental dropped, dismantled, and removed of a four-story bag house tower structure in just 2 days. The project was completed in a very tight time frame at an operating Bus/Trucking Terminal. Demolition work and site restoration activities involved recycling of scrap steel, and removal and disposal of all contaminated media. The demolition of a gas/diesel Pump Station to two foot below grade involved removal of piping, pumps, concrete and all substructures, and capping of all utilities and utility corridors. The entire demolition project was completed leaving the adjacent structures in tact without interruption of business. |

Waggner Corporation - 200,000 SF Industrial Plant Decommissioning
The decommissioning of a manufacturing plant required the total removal and industrial cleaning of contaminated media, utility removal, capping and replacement, and stamping press rigging, in over 200,000 square feet of manufacturing area on an 11-acre parcel. Working aggressively around the clock, Dover Environmental was able to complete this project ahead of schedule. This facility had over sixty-five (65) stamping pits as deep as 30 feet and as long as 100 feet. Over 500,000 gallons of waste oils, sludge, gray waters and lubricants were removed and recycled/disposed. In addition, 750 tons of scrap metals were recycled during this decommissioning project. Dover Environmental lab packed over 335 drums, which were staged and identified for proper disposal.
